The Sydney Morning Herald HSC Study Guide 2013
Every year the Board of Studies NSW works with The Sydney Morning Herald to plan a HSC study guide that is relevant to the needs of HSC students, teachers and parents.
The supplement will be published in The Sydney Morning Herald on 17 June. In addition, the Board will distribute enough copies to NSW secondary schools for each HSC student.
This year the emphasis is on:
- explaining the HSC marking process
- advice on allocation of examination marks and sample questions from past papers
- providing practical tips for HSC students to enhance their preparations and make the most of their time in the examination room.
Subjects highlighted in this year’s guide include:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Ancient History
- Modern History
- Geography
- Design and Technology
- Textiles and Design
- Industrial Technology
- Food Technology
- Information Processes and Technology
- Engineering Studies
- Aboriginal Studies
- Legal Studies
- Religion
- Languages
- Vocational Education and Training
- PDHPE
- Visual Arts
- Dance
- Drama
- Music.
Current and past HSC students will also detail how they found their study/life balance.
The Board welcomes any feedback on the study guide to inform future content decisions.
