Official Notice: New Stage 6 Russian Continuers syllabus

The new Stage 6 Russian Continuers syllabus is now available.

Implementation of the new syllabus will commence for the Preliminary course in 2014 and will be first examined in the 2015 HSC. The new Russian Continuers syllabus will replace the existing Russian Background Speakers syllabus. Both syllabuses are based on the Collaborative Curriculum and Assessment Framework for Languages (CCAFL) model.

The development of a Continuers course in Russian recognises the changing demographics of the NSW Russian-speaking population.

Key features of the new syllabus include:

  • greater emphasis on oral communication
  • the inclusion of an in-depth study.

The new Russian syllabus is available to download from the syllabus section of the Board’s website.
