Sydney Writers' Festival

The 2015 Sydney Writers' Festival runs from Monday 18 May to Sunday 23 May and this year the festival is offering teachers concession prices to attend some sessions. Attendance can be recorded as Teacher Identified Professional Development.

The Festival highly recommends three key events, including literacy advocate James Patterson, and two panel discussions at the City Recital Hall featuring some of the high-profile international speakers such as Douglas Coupland and Nick Davies.

The following events may provide opportunities to develop challenging teaching and learning approaches and activities for students. Some will also be relevant for senior students in their study of related texts and English courses, including Extension courses, for the HSC. Many are available at concession prices or are free.
