New specimen HSC exam paper for Textiles and Design

A new specimen exam paper has been produced for Textiles and Design following changes to the HSC exam specifications, which will be implemented from 2017.

Key amendments include:

  • Section II will consist of 24 marks (instead of 25 marks) and each of the three questions will be worth 8 marks. The questions will be based on the three Areas of Study:
  1. Design
  2. Properties and Performance of Textiles
  3. Australian Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Allied Industries.
  • Section III will consist of 16 marks (instead of 15 marks) and each of the two questions will be worth 8 marks. One question will be based on the Area of Study: Design, and one on the Area of Study: Properties and Performance of Textiles. Candidates will be required to answer BOTH questions.

The specimen paper is available to download from the HSC syllabus page of the BOSTES website.
