Update for HSC students afffected by weather: Wed 15 October 2014

BOSTES extends its support to all HSC students whose HSC exams may have been disrupted by the weather, as was the case for some Lithgow students. BOSTES can advise that both Lithgow High School and Portland Central School were open for the morning Ancient History exam and afternoon PDHPE exam. The other local school, La Salle Academy was not open for the morning exam – Ancient History. The school’s students are able to sit the afternoon PDHPE exam at Lithgow High School. BOSTES has contacted the La Salle students directly to let them know. BOSTES has been advised that the schools will lodge Illness/Misadventure appeals on behalf of their students. If an illness/misadventure appeal is upheld, the student’s school assessment mark and/or unaffected exam components may be used for some or all of their exam mark, if their examination performance is lower than expected or they are unable to sit the exam.
