Modern Hebrew Continuers HSC exam details for Wednesday 21 October 2009

The Board of Studies joins with the rest of the community in wishing all students the best for their exams. Course: Modern Hebrew Continuers Date: Wednesday October 21, 2009, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Candidature: 39 (as at 1 September 2009) The paper consists of three sections: Section I - Listening and Responding (30 marks) There are two parts in this section. In Part A (20 marks), students listen and respond to recorded texts in Hebrew. Questions are in English for responses in Hebrew. In Part B (10 marks), students respond to questions on two texts in Hebrew. Questions are in English and Hebrew for responses in Hebrew. Section II - Reading and Responding (30 marks) This section has two parts. In Part A (20 marks), students read two texts in Hebrew and answer questions phrased in English, for responses in English. In Part B (10 marks), students read a short text in Hebrew. The task is phrased in English for a response in Hebrew. Section III - Writing in Modern Hebrew (15 marks) Students are required to write an original text in Hebrew. Students choose from a number of topics. Read the full 2009 HSC examination timetable.
