Korean Background Speakers HSC exam details for Tuesday 3 November 2009

Course: Korean Background Speakers
Date: Tuesday November 3, 2009, 9:25 AM - 12:25 PM
Candidature: 98 (as at 1 September 2009)
The paper consists of three sections:
Section I - Listening and Responding (20 marks)
This section has two parts. In Part A (10 marks), students respond to questions based on one text in Korean. Questions are phrased in English for responses in English. In Part B (10 marks), students hear two texts in Korean. The question will be based on both texts and will be phrased in Korean and English for a response in Korean.
Section II - Reading and Responding (55 marks)
This section has two parts. In Part A, students respond to one or more prescribed texts in either English or Korean. In Part B, students exchange information in response to an unseen text in Korean. The question is phrased in Korean for a response in Korean.
Section III - Writing in Korean (25 marks)
Students write an original text in Korean. There is a choice of three tasks. Questions are phrased in Korean.
