The Parents' Guide to the NSW Primary Syllabuses is an easy-to-read 16 page booklet that has been developed to help parents follow their child's learning from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Developed in consultation with parents and teachers the guide has been very well received and has proved to be one of the Board of Studies' most requested publications since its introduction in 2008.

The booklet gives a straightforward explanation of the NSW K-6 syllabuses.

At a glance parents can see:

• the amount of time their children are spending on each of the key learning areas
• examples of the kinds of things children can learn in each key learning area in each year of primary school
• examples of classroom activities
• explanations of important educational terms
