The amendments are:

  • the marking guidelines for the Reflection Statement now include the syllabus requirement to refer to prior learning in the English (Advanced) and Extension courses
  • in the categories of Critical Responses and Poem(s), the word limits for the Major Work and the Reflection Statement are now expressed separately. The total word limits are unchanged
  • the category of Film has been removed
  • the formats for submission of Major Works in sound, visual and digital media will in future be advised annually by the Board.

The amended Assessment and Reporting in English Extension 2 (PDF) and English Extension 2 Marking Guidelines are available to download from the HSC syllabus section of the Board’s website.
