Official Notice: Reporting Life Skills outcomes for Year 11 students

BOS 14/13

Who needs to read this notice:
Secondary principals
Secondary subject coordinators
Year 11 and 12 teachers
Special education teachers

Students undertaking Life Skills courses in Year 11 will have the outcomes they have achieved credentialed for their Record of School Achievement (RoSA). This will involve the same processes that apply to HSC reporting.

At the end of Term 3, schools will indicate in Schools Online, which outcomes students have achieved. Outcomes can be indicated as ‘Achieved’ or ‘Achieved with support’.

The Board has developed Life Skills Outcomes Worksheets to assist teachers in progressively collecting information on outcomes achieved by students in each Life Skills course. The worksheets can be downloaded from Schools Online or the Board’s website.

Students who leave school after the completion of Year 11 will have the Life Skills outcomes they have achieved reported on their Profile of Student Achievement, which will be issued with their RoSA, or if ineligible for the RoSA, their Transcript of Study.

Read more information about the Profile of Student Achievement.
